MPPA is a NOT FOR PROFIT organization dedicated to the promotion, development and education for the fun associated with model aviation. the club was founded in 1991 and has been operating at the Markham Park Airfield ever since. We hold multiple events per year and are well known for our night flys and R/C flea markets. Our members enjoy monthly meetings, cookouts, spontaneous Fun Flys, raffles, club drawings and our annual Holiday and tree trimming party. Part of the funds raised by our events is used to make field improvements as well as to insure the field for all to use.

Our field has a 750 x 50 foot paved runway, 55 acres of green space, a gated pit area with tables and an impound shed, electrical outlets and 5 caged pilot stands. Our helicopter area has 2 landing pads. We also have a control line area as well as a lake dedicated to seaplanes. Our covered pavilion has tables, electric, our club marquis with announcements and there is also a bulletin board to post airplanes and equipment for sale or wanted.

Both 72 MHz and 2.4 GHz radios are allowed. We also have ADA compliant restrooms and bleachers for spectators. A current AMA membership card and a Markham Park Pilot card are required to enter the pit area and fly at the field. The Markham Park Pilot card must be displayed on your person at all times while in the pit and flying areas.
